Christmas in May

Good morning! I hope you are having a nice week. With summer coming and busy weekends ahead, Charissa and I decided to switch up the dates of our challenges. KCRR will now be posted on Thursday and Inspired by... will now be on Friday. Speaking of busy weekends, this coming one is a long weekend! YAY! Plus, Matt will be arriving home tonight (well technically it's Friday morning at 1am, boo!), this means that tomorrow I might be akin to a zombie. But we are planning on camping a couple nights this weekend! :) I am super excited as camping in one of my favourite summer activities. Rain or shine, it can be fun (or course, more fun in the shine :)) I already have the two most essential things pack: sunscreen and bug dope! I am just hoping that there is no snow left where we are going!

Anyways, now onto the challenges! Thursday means a new KCRR and I also wanted to play along with Dynamic Duos one year anniversary celebration!

The selections this week for KCRR were the quilting technique and using retired stamps, and I chose to play along with Dynamic Duos #22 to create this cute Christmas card. THAT'S RIGHT! You read that correctly, it's time to start getting ready for Christmas because it'll be here before you know it! And I do not want to be stuck in the same predicament I was last year, scrambling to make cards for craft fairs and friends *lol*

I really like the way this turned out. I used the retired set Joy at Christmas which I picked up on clearance a while ago and employed the quilting technique on the main image. The JOY is also from the set, which I fussy cut and popped up in tiny pieces of dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you liked my version of Christmas in May! Don`t forget to pop over to Charissa`s blog, Snippets by Design, to see how she used our KCRR elements this week!

Supplies used:
Stamps: Welcome Christmas (ret)
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Candlelight Christmas DSP (ret)
Ink: Early Espresso
Tools: Scallop Circle & Circle Nestabilities
Accessories: Seam Binding Ribbon, Dimensionals
