Good morning! It's time to bring you this week's Inspired By… and I also wanted to play along with this week's Retro Sketch:
Charissa picked the photo this week: a little black and white, with a pop of colour!:
Looks delicious hey!? *lol* Anyways, I had a request to make a pet sympathy card, and I took this opportunity to make a cute little clean & simple card:
I know there is lots of punch art to make paw prints, but I always feel like those are dog prints… while this card was for a departed cat, I wanted to make sure the paw print looked a little more feline. So, I printed one off the Internet and cut it out from black card stock. Worked out pretty well in my opinion!

It was my choice this week, and I selected a photo from the Etsy shop 7WondersDesign:

I finally got to use the This & That Epic Day paper from the "new" catalogue (soon to be old in June :S)… I love this paper! I sponged the edges of each paper with pool party, and added a little colour to the chevron stamp on the front. Also, I manhandled the doily over the chevron, until it was the shape I wanted, and I think it worked out pretty well! :)

I embossed on a window sheet to lay the shape from Morning Meadow over the shape from Everything Eleanor - although I think you would get the same effect if you just embossed straight onto the main shape *lol*.

KCRR & Mojo Monday
Good morning! We are one day early with KCRR this week, as I am going to be away this weekend! Off on the first road trip of the year… with many more to come! :) I also wanted to play along with Mojo Monday:
Our random KCRR selections this week were:
This is how it all came together:
This has definitely been my stable lately… and quite frankly, I find it a bit boring now! I think I am going to try and shy away from this look of card, and try something new! The fancy fan is kinda hidden on this card, on the little rose red square peaking out, but I wanted it to be understated. I gradient sponged the flower trim in various shades of rose red… I love that accessory, so versatile! Here's a close up of them:
