Naturally, putting all these colours on one card scared me! Here's what I came up with:
I have to admit, it is not my favourite card, yet I liked it enough to share :) I like the panels background. I wanted the panels to by my main focus, but thought the card was just too plain with only the sentiment and the panels. To jazz it up, I added the ribbon & butterflies.
Thanks for visiting!
Supplies used:
Stamps: Vintage Verses
Paper: Summer Starfruit, Poppy Parade (ret), Brights Paper Stacks, Birds of a Feather DSP
Ink: Basic Grey
Tools: Labels Framelits
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslits, Stitched Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals
Such a tough colour combo to work with, but you rocked it! Nicely done with the strips of designer paper :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! It was a challenge lol I figured the DSP would be the easiest way to display all the colours without overwhelming the card... it turned out ok :) maybe a different sentiment would have worked better... food for thought for me :)Ps-really liking the poppy parade paper here!
DeleteThis is a beautiful and striking card! Love the butterflies and the framed sentiment. Thanks for joining us at colourQ!
